From start-up through to account production, Simply Contracting are able to guide you through the maze of operating as a limited company.

Pre-Requisites

In order to take advantage of the range of accountancy services on offer from Simply Contracting Limited (SCL), you will need the following:

A Limited Company, registered in the UK at Companies House
The original Certificate of Incorporation for the company from Companies House*
The original Memorandum and Articles for the company from Companies House*
Details of the Registered Office address of the company
Details of the Company Director and, if applicable, the Company Secretary
A company bank account, on which you are an authorised signatory

Through our Associates we are also able to provide you with contacts in other areas of the contracting market, such as business insurance providers, financial services, solicitors and so on.

Contract Reviews First introduced in April 2000 IR35, or the Intermediaries legislation, has become an important factor in determining the status of freelancers and the way income is treated for tax purposes. Read more for further information.

Managed Service Company Legislation (MSC)

The Managed Service Company legislation (MSC) was first announced in the Pre-Budget report in Nov 2006 with an implementation date of 6th April 2007 to coincide with the start of the new tax year.

I have been involved in self employed contract working for more than 20 years for many different companies in various parts of the world. In this time I have been self employed, limited company, SC 60, and 714 certificated.
